Redemptions & tracking
DiscountFix records every order that uses one of its codes, so you can see which codes were used, how often, on which orders and for how much.
How tracking works
- When an order is placed with a DiscountFix code, Shopify notifies the app and the redemption is recorded within seconds: the order, the code, the discount amount and currency, and the time.
- A background check also compares each code's usage count with Shopify regularly and fills in anything the real-time step missed.
- All codes on an order are recorded, even when a customer uses several codes. (Shopify's own discount reports show only the first code on such orders.)
- A single-use code is marked Completed as soon as it's used up.
- Tracking runs on every plan. On Free and Premium the data is collected but the Stats pages are locked; upgrade any time to see the full history.
Only codes created with DiscountFix are tracked, including codes it added to existing Shopify discounts and codes from Flow. Codes of a deleted set are no longer tracked.
How fresh the numbers are
| What | Updated |
|---|---|
| New redemptions | Within seconds of the order |
| Usage counts, codes created in the last 7 days | About every 15 minutes |
| Usage counts, codes 7–30 days old | About every hour |
| Usage counts, older unused codes | About every 6 hours |
| Expired codes | Rechecked daily, so extended codes come back to Active |
| Stats pages | Refresh themselves every minute while open |
Shopify only lets apps read the last 60 days of orders unless the store grants access to all orders. DiscountFix asks for that access when you install or update it. If you declined it, redemptions on older orders can't be matched to their orders.
Code statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Can be used. A multi-use code stays Active until its last use. |
| Completed | Used as many times as Total uses allows. |
| Expired | The set's end date has passed. |
| Deleted on Shopify | The discount or code was deleted in Shopify. |
| Disabled | Deactivated in Shopify. |
On the Stats page you can also filter by Used (used at least once) and Unused.
Set stats Pro & Unlimited
Click Stats on a set. The page covers the set and every batch added to it.
- Set summary: codes by status (active, completed, expired, unused, deleted on Shopify, disabled), total redemptions, total discount given per currency, dates, maximum usage per code, and a chart over time.
- Over time: switch the chart between Redemptions, Revenue and Discount given, for the last 7, 30 or 90 days or since the set was created (longer ranges are shown by week). Days follow your store’s time zone. Hover a bar for that day’s redemptions, orders, revenue and discount. Revenue counts each order once; if the set has orders in more than one currency, the amounts show the main one.
- Revenue, Average order value and Redemption rate: the gross order total (at order time, before refunds) of orders that used a code from the set, counted once per order even if it used several codes; the average order value; and the share of codes used at least once. Order totals are recorded for orders placed from 29 September 2026 onward. For older orders the tile shows Order totals known for X of Y orders.
- Codes: every code with its usage (e.g. 1 / 1 or 3 used / unlimited), status, expiry and when it was last checked. Filter by status or batch, search by code, and show 10 to 100 per page.
- Orders (n) next to a used code lists its orders with the amount and time, and a link to open each order in Shopify.
- Latest redemptions: the most recent orders across the set, searchable by order, code or currency.
Stats are available for sets created from January 2026 onward. Older sets show Stats are not available for this discount set.
Stats overview Pro & Unlimited
Open Stats in the app menu for all your sets together:
- Overview: sets, codes, redemptions, use rate, total discount given, used and unused codes, and codes by status.
- Daily redemptions for the last 90 days, and redemptions by day of week.
- Top performing sets: your 10 most-used sets, each with View stats.
- Latest redemptions across all sets.
Results by tag Pro & Unlimited
The By campaign card on the Stats page groups your sets by their tags. Switch Group by between Campaign, Channel and Department, and pick a period (last 30 days, 90 days, 12 months or all time).
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Sets | Sets with this tag. |
| Orders | Orders in the period that used at least one code from those sets. An order with two codes counts once. |
| Redemptions | Code uses in the period. |
| Revenue / AOV | Order totals at checkout and the average per order, per currency. Orders placed before September 28, 2026 have no total recorded and aren't included here. |
| Discount given | The discount the codes took off, per currency. |
A row named No campaign (or channel, department) collects sets without that tag. Discounts made by Flow's Create a personal discount action can't be tagged and aren't included, so the totals here can be lower than the Overview.

Good to know
- Draft orders count once they're completed and become real orders.
- Refunds and cancellations don't give a use back. Shopify counts a code as used when the order is placed.
- Want to act on a redemption? The Flow trigger Discount code redeemed fires on every use, e.g. to tag the customer or post to Slack.
